LADY GAGA returned to Vancouver for the show that had to be postponed due to an illness last May. We like to experience the excitement of Live entertainment and this show had everything and more. Great music, presentation, stage visuals and of course, Lady Gaga!

It was not just her show. Dare I say –  the audience participation was just as incredible as Gaga herself. Coincidentally, the show followed Vancouver’s Gay Pride week! Like Divas before her, Madonna and Cher, Lady Gaga inspires dancers and dreamers alike with her fashion, style, and of course – the music.

The audience was well behaved considering the long wait between Lady Starlights DJ-techno show and the start of The ArtRave Dance show! I estimate the wait at just over an hour. At 9:30 pm the giant curtain fell to cheers revealing a full stage of dancers and musicians. Lady Gaga rose from the depths of the stage in her glorious golden winged costume! Many fans in the audience also were wearing wings in a touching show of solidarity! The crowd was so pumped the stadium floor turned into rave!

Lady Gaga follows her heart. Her shows are a multi-layered entertainment extravaganza! Many other artists shared the stage with her. The dancers entranced everyone with their performances as Gaga disappeared for yet another costume change!

Exceptional lighting was another contributor to the success of her show. Every song was theatrically produced! Right down to Gaga biting the head off a doll and even undergoing a costume change RIGHT on stage! Huge balloons filled with confetti shaped hearts and stars exploded for every song.

All her greatest hits were squeezed into an hour and a half. You may think it was a short show until you see its not a band just doing their hit songs. It was Lady Gaga in many costumes with many dancers, singers and even a live band. She also played guitar, piano and for one song played a portable keyboard which was strapped around her neck shaped like a seahorse.

Lady Gaga took time out of her performance to read a fan letter which had been thrown on stage. Sadly, we never did find out who this MYSTERY fan was. Gaga did have that magic ingredient to make everyone feel welcome,  and part of the show! There was not a bad seat in the arena or a bad spot on the floor either. Lady Gaga she was everywhere that night!

I enjoyed her videos over the last six years. Several of my favorite songs are Paparazzi and Poker Face. Seeing it LIVE was one of the experiences I had to have. I can easily say this fan was blown away! Until the next LIVE show, we will never forget The ArtRave Dance Party!
