Vancouver, March 26 2018 – This April, Vancouver Visual Art Foundation and Art! Vancouver is launching the first ever Vancouver Gallery Crawl.  In this unique event, forty galleries around Vancouver, including the Chali Rosso Gallery in South Granville, English Bay Gallery on Granville Island, and the Audain Art Museum in Whistler, will be opening their doors to the public.  More than fifteen of those galleries will also have special events onsite such as open receptions with artists, live artist performances, tours and talks.

The participating galleries showcase some of the best art Vancouver has to offer, with local and international artists including artists of aboriginal descent, contemporary photography, sculpture, and mixed media.  Each gallery will also provide a comprehensive guided tour around current exhibitions.

Galleries are located throughout Vancouver and the surrounding areas. A map of the Gallery Crawl will be available in Fresh Magazine, on cards in racks around the city, and at www.artvancouver.net

The event, which is free of charge, will be held on April 20 to 22.  For more information about the event, and about galleries’ hours and special tours, please see www.artvancouver.net
