9/19: Day 4 of VFW S/S 2015 – Dark Knits Boutique

On Day #1 I had the pleasure to meet South African designer Thabo Makhetha, whose signature is bold and bright. She graciously agreed to let me wear one of her colourful patterned vests with exaggerated collar for the evening. I jumped out of my taxi, met with her outside of the tents, slipped into the vest and within minutes the look was StreetScouted! by photographer Marshall Heritage!

9/18: Day 3 of VFW S/S 2015 – Marita Mamuchashviili

Day #3 of Vancouver Fashion Week presented a wardrobe challenge. The two designers of the evening that I was anticipating - Marita Mamuchashviili and Green Embassy - both present garments that are visually stimulating tactile treats and are know for pushing texture to its limits. As I tend to favour a classic silhouette in black, my closet is devoid of chunky sweaters and bold statement pieces so I decided to tip the scales to the opposite end of the spectrum and go completely devoid of texture.

9/17: Day 2 of VFW S/S 2015 – Magenta, Liu, Armstrong & Yu!

Continuing with Day 2 of Vancouver Fashion Week! With the talent and luxuriously excessive embellishment still on my mind from the first slot designers from LaSalle College international campuses, I forged forward. Day 2 was loaded with talent and eco-friendly designers. Diversely dark natural fibres and colourful synthetics matched each other step for step.  It was a long night but a delightful one!
