Vancouver, July 3, 2018 – Art! Masters, a visual arts competition, makes its debut into the Vancouver arts scene this summer. This fun and engaging exhibit, produced by Art! Vancouver, will take place on July 26th from 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm at The Portside Pub in the heart of historical Gastown.

The event involves 8 professional artists, who will each receive a box of mystery items to create a painting with. The items will only be revealed moments before the competition commences. The theme of this year’s competition is the famous quote by American boxing champion Muhammad Ali: “Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee,” which artists must draw inspiration from to create their pieces.

The event aims to promote the growth and development of Vancouver’s artistic community. Attendees of the show will get the chance to interact with local artists and also select the winners. Other work by the participating artists will be available for auction, and for each item sold, half of the proceeds will be donated to Youth Unlimited, a foundation that provides opportunities for at-risk youth.

Participants attending Art! Masters can expect a fun and exciting night full of original and unique artwork, good music and a creative atmosphere.
