LYFE : EXTRAVAGANT MASQUERADE YACHT EVENT

Cathy Lai (CEO of both LYFE International Holding Group & L & K Creatives) had a BIG DREAM. She wanted to host an event that would strive to empower youth, enable people to network and make connections, and promote Vancouver as a city that is both beautiful and fun for its natural beauty and its nightlife events. “Live Young Forever is the spirit that we live by here at LYFE; we are an integrated entertainment agency with expertise in public relations, marketing and information technology. Our goal is to bring creative and passionate high-end entertainment to Vancouver’s most prestigious audience. Our two subsidiaries, LYFE Event Planning and L & K Marketing and Technology are built to work together seamlessly to create unparalleled entertainment.” ~ Cathy Lai (website)

With the assistance of her business partner Victor Guo (GM of L & K Creatives) and after eight months of planning, connecting with friends and acquaintances, they reached their goal. LYFE Event Planning Ltd. (Live Young Forever) held its first ever “Extravagant Masquerade Yacht Party” on Saturday, July 18, 2015. One of the key people they connected with was event planner extraordinaire, Vernard Goud, of LuvnGrace Entertainment Events: Beauty, Art, Music & Fashion , whom they met through mutual friend, and Fashion Show Producer, Keiko Boxall. LuvnGrace Entertainment was hired by LYFE Event Planning Ltd. to assist with the PR, and in coordinating the after party that was held, after the cruise, in the Xi-Shi Lounge, at the Shangri-La Hotel.

The LYFE brand name was carved into a beautiful ice sculptureand this was on display inside the upper deck. Located beside it was a fun activity for all the guests to partake in, a photo booth that uses a green screen. Frankie ran this booth, making sure everyone received their own 4×6 photo, with 4 unique photos on it, and a background of ones choice. The upper inside deck had a special SUPER VIP (SVIP) room where they served some hot food (i.e. pasta), oysters and Finlandia Vodkaon ice. The SVIP guests could socialize and relax on four couches, while watching the other VIP guests dance, and the band play on the outside upper deck, on a big screen TV. There was also a back deck just outside of the SVIP room where these guests could mingle, network and socialize. There were some appetizers, desserts and wine for the guests and also a bar for those interested in other cocktails.

Despite this event being called a Masquerade there were not that many people wearing masks. However, what was duly noted were the beautiful gowns, fabulous suits, and the extreme age demographic. There were people as young as 19 to well into their 80’s enjoying this event. People brought their whole families ~ parents, children and grandparents were all mingling, dancing and gambling as the MAGIC SPIRIT sailed into a breathtaking sunset on Vancouver’s horizon. The evening culminated with the amazing After Party at the Xi-Shi Lounge.

Cathy’s BIG DREAM was a success! She and her team epitomize that following ones passion and persevering despite any obstacles one faces along the way will only provide more tenacity and spirit to make one want to fly higher to reach new heights and goals. Which is clearly represented in their LYFE logo. The crown representing how they manage business ~ conquering everything, and the wings representing how they think ~ imagination is unlimited (website).
