Dear Reader,

Every spring and summer we have to endure fashion journalism that joyously proclaims that floral prints and white are “in fashion”. Groundbreaking: I think Not. These two looks were selected for their originality because they signify a shift in our collective fashion conscience. They are as follows,

  1. The Embroidered Tulle skirt – if you buy one now you are guaranteed to be ahead of the fashion-pack.

The Embroidered Tulle skirt pictured here is from the Dior AW 2017-2018 Runway Presentation. If you are lucky enough to find one right now it is imperative that the skirt is tea-length. Although the tea-length skirt has been trending since SS 2014 its styling has since changed. In 2014 when tea-length skirts first graced the runways they were generally paired with mid-riff baring tops, crop tops, and sometimes even bralettes. This look has steadily evolved and we are now seeing tea-length skirts paired with generously proportioned tops and sweaters like the one pictured here. This fresh new styling of the tea-length skirt coupled with GORGEOUS EMBROIDERY are what make this a truly fresh look just in time for Spring Summer 2017.

2) The Blunt Bob With Micro #BabyBangs.

The Second look which is fresh for Spring Summer 2017 is a Blunt Bob with NO FACE FRAMING LAYERS and #BabyBangs. Think Betty Paige with a twist of Amélie circa 2006. The long “face-framing” layers inspired by supermodel Gisele Caroline Bündchen have reigned supreme since she exploded onto the fashion circuit in the mid 1990’s. I think you would have to agree with us that after 27 years of reigning supreme we are ready to say GOODBYE to face framing layers and move on to another aesthetic.
